There are a number of file formats you can import in memoQ. Some are monolingual, as opposed to bilingual file formats used to exchange data with other CAT tools or other emoQ users. The way you want a specific file format to be imported can be specified in the respective filter of the Document import settings dialog. This dialog opens whenever you click Add document as… in the Translations pane of the project home.
