Local, remote, and offline term bases

Depending on their physical location, memoQ recognizes three types of term bases:

· A local term base is physically present on your computer.
· A remote term base is located in a remote computer and can be accessed through the Internet or the local network.
· A synchronized remote term base is a hybrid of the above two. The primary copy is located in a remote computer and can be accessed through the Internet, however, there is a copy stored on your computer, and you can also work with the term base when you are not connected to the Internet for any reason. When you connect to the Internet again, the remote and the local term bases are synchronized, i.e. the remote copy is updated with your new terms added offline, and the local copy is updated with the changes in the contents of the remote term base.
